Corporate Cookery - Overview
The evening begins with a welcome drinks reception of beers, wine and soft drinks. After which, participants takes their seats for a practical demonstation of Asain cookery, lasting approximately 45 minutes. After the demonstation teams get to show their practical food preparation skill! Thai fish cakes, spring rolls with peeled prawns, cucumber nut relish - all prepared by the teams. Once completed, our chefs will take the food away for cooking and supplement it with their own dishes to be served in the group's three course meal. All served with wine, beer and soft drinks.
Corporate Cookery - What can I expect to learn?
New skills and insights about cooking and serving Asian food through observation and hands-on experience. Also tips about hard-to-find herbs and spices and where to source them as well as how to cook perfect rice.
Corporate Cookery - Who is behind the cookery course?
Maureen Suan-Neo, teaches ‘How to Cook Asian Food’. Aside from offering cookery classes, she has captivated audiences at Le Cordon Bleu in London, the Restaurant Show, the Ideal Home Show at Olympia, PJ’s Demonstration and Cookery School in Wales and other many events. The author of Red Heat, a cookery book on Singapore Nonya cuisine, Maureen has brought her exquisite cooking, a fusion of Malay and Chinese, to London for over 20 years.

- 18.30 - Arrive for nibbles and welcome drinks consisting of wines, beers and soft drinks
- 19.00 - Begin cookery demonstration learning cookery skills such as how to blend Asian spices and prepare dishes including cucumber nut relish, thai fish cakes and steamed fish in banana leaves.
- 19.45 - Form teams and begin practical cookery preparation
- 20.30 - Sit down for a three course meal with wine
- Dine and Depart at leisure
