Once again the year has flown by! We are now in October and the planning for the festive season is well away with venues in central London already booked up on certain dates in December. We hope this is a little push to help you make the correct decisions to achieve a fantastic staff Christmas party. In this Corporate Christmas Party Guide to London we consider the main objectives for before, during and after the special event and hope to help you make that all important decision, what to do for your Christmas celebrations this year.
Setting the date, book early
This is more important than you realise, with certain dates already booked before we even reached October it’s important to choose a date as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. You will also want to invite people in advance as we all know Christmas is a busy time for everyone. One thing that would help you guarantee your favourite event or activity would to be slightly flexible with dates when making the enquiry therefore opening the door up to more opportunities. The last two Thursdays before Christmas, this year this falls on the 10th and 17th are always the busiest days of the year for Corporate Events so if it’s a Thursday you want to book we recommend enquiring sooner rather than later.
Knowing the budget
If you know the budget for your event it will help us understand what sort of event we can plan for you. That doesn’t mean that you’ll miss out if not as we can send a range of ideas over to you ranging from the cheapest to the more expensive full day Christmas party ideas. Things to consider include if the budget you have been given includes VAT and if you need to include all food and drinks within that budget for the activity. Again we have some great deals for Christmas menus that can match a lower budget as well as the more pricey menus in iconic venues.
Choosing the right venue for a Christmas staff party or celebration is a real headache in London for December. With so many venues you may not have tried before and those which might not be versatile enough for your group, we pride ourselves on choosing the correct venues across the capital for your particular brief. We have countless contacts for venues across London enabling us to meet any requirements. Things that we have to consider with regards to the venue depends on the activity whether it requires lots of equipment or an extra space for active events. One advantage for our Yuletide Treasure Hunts is that you do not require the booking of a venue for the duration of your event and is therefore fantastic venue.
Transport has to be considered for Christmas events to make them run as smoothly as possible, whether you are travelling from venue to venue to do different activities or just need transport from the offices to the meeting point. As one of the busiest cities in the world it needs to be planned in advance and a decision between private or public transport needs to be made. Perhaps one of the most luxurious ways to travel around the city would be in our very own recently refurbished private party bus. See the sights of London in the luxury of your own party bus with a full bar and karaoke system to create a fantastic party atmosphere.
Sites to see in London during Christmas
There is never a dull moment in London during the festive period so why not make sure you see some of the best bits throughout the city as part of your Christmas party. One of the most iconic additions to the capital in December is the giant 70ft Christmas tree in Trafalgar Square donated by the people of Norway to London for our support during WWII. Another thing to notice is the extravagant festive decorations spotted throughout the Covent Garden area every year. The whole capital is filled with spectacular decorations to make it a magical time of year including many Christmas markets and fairs with the largest taking place in Hyde Park each year.
But MOST importantly make sure you and your team enjoy the day away from the office and have a very happy Christmas! Contact us for more info on any of our Corporate Events here…
