Conference & Events – Haka Maori Warriors for Corporate Team Building!

One of our clients’ asked us to put together a 2 day conference/teambuilding event around Daventry and I must say, we did not disappoint!
The stunning Fawsley Hall, Daventry, was our choice for exclusive use, beautiful conference facilities, dining areas and bedrooms.

DAY 1 – Maori War Dancing  – The HAKA

Registration with coffee started the morning session. To liven up the group before lunch in order to focus on the meeting for the rest of the day, we introduced our New Zealander, Leon, and our Maori, Himi, to the group as they stormed the room in full war paint and performed the Haka at the front!! Without much coaxing the group quickly learnt the words and then a split into two teams was made and the unique Maori actions were practiced and learnt.
In order to achieve the full effect, war paint was worn by all and the teams met out on the front lawn, each team giving rousing and extremely passionate performances – check out our video clips to see all the fun!! This was such a fantastic event, absolutely perfect for team building or a staff away day.

Lunch followed by an afternoon session completed the work and then guests had some free time to enjoy their beautiful surroundings before meeting for drinks and a sumptuous gala dinner.

DAY 2 – Rise & Shine – Boomwhackers
Day two followed the same format however the host obviously has a wicked sense of humour and booked our ‘Boomwhackers’ drumming event for 08:30 in the morning – after a very late/early morning finish in the bar, this was probably not what the attendees were expecting in the slightest!! Again, the group pulled out all the stops and despite being slightly worse for wear, they rose to the occasion and were one of the best groups we have ever had on a Boomwhackers event!!
To the group – well done, you were marvellous!
A huge thanks to Steven and Katherine at Fawsley Hall for a super job!

Client comment:
Boomwhackers was just perfect to clear a few heads on the Friday morning – great fun!
