Corporate Golf Day
Yesterday amid fears of yet another poor summer’s day, Team Tactics organised another corporate golf event at Foxhills for the second year running for BHTA. However, the weather was much better than forecast and there were just a couple of last minute changes to the score sheet in the morning.
The day started early for me (as usual for any events organiser) – 7am at Foxhills. Actually I stood there for a good 25 minutes waiting for the Pro Shop to open and the Clubhouse (cutely named Foxshop!) to open and I did wonder why I got there SOOO early!
However there was lots to do.. confirm the tee-offs for a 12 team shotgun start, collection of the plastic bags to put the course planners, client information, goodies in to. Then I prepared the registration table with all the pre-prepared scorecards and also getting from the office the location maps to each hole. We had a few veggies, so also needed to check that there was an alternative option to the usual bacon buttie. Also make sure that everything scheduled was all in place to happen, ie nearest the pin and longest drive markers were going out.
Then everybody started to arrive and the show started!
Once everybody had teed off, it was a case of tidying up, preparing the prize table and then acting as on course drinks attendant! Got a little chilly but the guests were in high spirits.
An nice response I had this morning from our client:
”I just wanted to thank you all for your contribution today.
All the guests had a great time and the organisation ran very smoothly, which is a reflection of the hard work you all put in. It was an early start too and I appreciate everyone making the effort to get to Foxhills early to meet and greet. Team NBJ plus Tina certainly made a good impression and our profile with the BHTA and its Membership will be strengthened as a result”
All in a day’s work but what a week!
Whilst reading … we still have one place left at our golf day Turnberry for October 2008 so anybody who wants to join us please do come because it’s great fun and very relaxed.
