Last Tuesday 18 Nov, a group of German bankers on a 3 day conference, took part in one of our London Cab Clue Trails. Due to travelling into London on coach, we found the perfect start location at the Millennium Hotel Knightsbridge for their briefing and start of the cabs. The hotel is extremely smart with them kindly sectioning one of their large private booth areas off and a private waiter on hand.
All the guests, although speaking fluent English, did struggle slightly with the riddles but with a little help from me, they loaded into their cabs complete with champagne hamper, white wine , beers and soft drinks, and headed off on the activity.
As this was an evening event, the dark nights do make it slightly harder to locate some clues however, they all appeared at the end destination, The Paxtons Head Pub, Knightsbridge, having really enjoyed themselves and also a little tipsy! Funnily enough, the CEO’s team won with a staggering score I think our usual cabbie Dave had a small hand to play in this and winning certificates and die cast black taxis were given as souvenirs.
A very late coach was the only hiccup thankfully not organised by us! but all had felt their whistle stop tour of London had been great.
The Rugby season is also in full swing with clients attending the England v South Africa game on Saturday at Twickenham. Do note that 2009 Rugby is on sale and boxes are going fast at the Millennium stadium for the Wales matches. Do chat to Elena or Tina if you have any queries.
