We are very fortunate in being able to offer a very limited amount of exclusive viewings of Buckingham Palace during September of this year which we promote to our corporate clients on an annual basis. Dates are few and far between so no doubt they will get snapped up over the coming months and well done to those that book these as this is almost a money-can’t-buy experience.
Having been on a private tour myself to The Palace, I found it a real privilege to walk, at leisure, through the Palace State Rooms and take in the beauty and listen to our tour guide explain the history behind Buckingham Palace, view the wonderful paintings by Rembrandt, Rubens, Vermeer, Poussin, Canaletto and Claude. As part of the Summer Opening of the State Rooms, an exhibition of dresses, jewels, photographs, and gifts presented to Her Majesty by the people of the Commonwealth will be shown at Buckingham Palace. Perhaps this will appeal more to the ladies!
Previously we have offered these exclusive and limited tours and combined Buckingham Palace with fine dining at the Private Member’s Club, Mosimann’s. This is an absolutely stunning venue which compliments the tour superbly. Guests dine in a Private Dining Room of Mosimann’s. If you click here, you can see all the various private dining rooms they offer. I have been told that the private dining room for two is the smallest dining room in England! Really stunning.
However, always keen to do something a little different, I re-looked at The Ritz, London a couple of weeks ago. It felt very strange being back as it brought back many memories. My late grandmother who lived in South Africa was staying in England and with some money I had earned during my industrial placement, I took her for afternoon tea at The Ritz. I can’t remember too much about the food as it was many years ago (!) but the memory I have is of a little old lady (and she was little!) being so terribly excited to be taken to The Ritz and really she never stopped talking about the experience, which was wonderful. I do remember myself the whole experience was very special.
So returning back for the first time to The Ritz did seem strange and sad. However, it was stunning and I am delighted to say that we are now offering a really special corporate VIP event where guests can take afternoon tea at The Ritz, followed by an exceptional tour or Buckingham Palace when it has been shut to the public.
We have only two dates in September to enjoy this experience, Wednesday 2nd and Tuesday 15th September. I would urge clients to take a look at either option as really these are top drawer events, whether you take tea at The Ritz or dine at Mosimann’s combining with Buckingham Palace…it will be an experience you will never forget.
