It seems that Royal Ascot is down by 30% or more in corporate sales over the five days so have taken the step of consolidating their hospitality facilities across to the main Grandstand area and shutting The Village down completely.
In terms of management, catering and overall costs for corporate hospitality at Royal Ascot, this will help if the corporate market is still holding back on entertaining clients during this year. Certainly Team Tactics are noticing that some clients can’t be seen to be entertaining, or, if they do, conservatism is the word.
Team Tactics have been established over 14 years and have seen the market alter over this time, though nothing as dramatic as this year. What we are now seeing is a current shift into more department team building events or team building events that need to be fun, enjoyable and GOOD VALUE and less of the classic corporate hospitality.
We see that our company cookery events are still high up in the favourites and soon hope to be able to provide fully mobile cookery events for larger numbers which will be very exciting. Perhaps not a big hit currently, but when corporates come out of the doldrums, bigger numbers will be in bigger demand.
