I had a great time last Thursday with a group of city financial staff who had contacted Team Tactics for a staff day out, keen on having a good laugh with a competitive edge.
My group arrived slightly late in the historic town of Windsor thanks to the Tube strike, for the morning’s activity, Team Tactics self run Treasure Hunt. After a briefing, the highly participative 2 hour walking clue trail around Windsor Town commenced. The Takeaway Treasure Hunt has 5 zones to visit, various questions to answer and a six digit master code to crack in order to complete the trail, and this does not leave a lot of time to dawdle!
Once all the teams had returned, our Westway Coach took the group fifteen minutes down the road to the lovely Oakley Court Hotel where a very large buffet had been laid out in The Conservatory. Thanks to the staff here who were extremely helpful.
During the lunch, our crew Gary and Darren had set up the afternoon’s activity – School Sports Day within the hotel’s walled garden, a fabulous area for any event as long as it’s not motorised. The teams now refreshed and rested, sat down on the school benches, donned their coloured bibs and awaited the briefing.
What a giggle! With sound system pumping out some old tunes and absolutely gorgeous sunshine, the teams took to their tasks brilliantly! Egg & Spoon Race, skipping race, sack race, space hoppers, shot put and much more, put the guests through their paces and it was surprising how tired they were at the end of the two hour activity. There were a couple of wannabe Linford Christies in the group without a shadow of a doubt!! Thanks to Gary and Darren, you always get the teams geared up and raring to go.
All in all the group had a tremendous time during their clue trail and School Sports Day event and a well earned drink from the bar with more food ended a splendid day.
Thanks to all the attendees for being such good sports and also to Ron our Westway Coach Driver for being very patient in the heavy traffic!
PS not all our corporate events and team building activities are listed on our website; so do call us for anything, provide a brief and we are away!
