With so many new sights to see and heaps of additional culture it’s the perfect time to hold a bespoke corporate event in London that incorporates this and joins in the party atmosphere. We love the opportunity to showcase London and try out new things and have been busy creating over a dozen such bespoke events for overseas visitors to London in 2012. Below are just some of the more unique opportunities for corporate entertainment this year!
Forman’s Fish Island. This fantastic venue is the closest venue to the Olympic Park and offers spectacular views, especially of the Olympic Stadium. With Olympic fever steadily gaining momentum there’s a palpable sense of anticipation and excitement in Stratford. And of course atmosphere is paramount when it comes to corporate events, or any type of event for that matter! Therefore this venue is a great opportunity for clients to hold an event up close to the Olympic Park and soak up the atmosphere pre-Olympics.
Greenwich Beach. Event Magazine recently revealed that a new temporary beach could be built near the O2 in time for the Olympics. As well as offering sports facilities like an Olympic-sized volleyball court, restaurants, space for live music and other events, the beach will also have sections available for corporate events. The organiser’s are looking for a sponsor who’ll have exclusive use during the Olympics but once again there’s plenty of opportunity for a corporate client to soak up the atmosphere pre-Olympics.
London Olympic Tours. 2012 will see over 200 nations set up camp in London as well as plenty of global brands with experiential exhibits. For instance the Irish Olympic House will take up residence in Kings Cross at The Big Chill. Here they’ll be playing live music as well gues appearances from famous Irish musicians, comedians and actors. The aim is to create the “number one party destination at the Games”.
Also Major Boris Johnson recently announced ‘Secrets: Hidden London’, a series of free events across London with floating operas, street gigs and pop-up performances planned. The floating opera performance of the Owl and The Pussy Cat is particularly interesting.
Explore England. Or finally, you could take the opportunity to be bold and break away from London 2012-mania. With thousands of corporate clients across the globe planning on holding their 2012 events in London there’s an opportunity to find some golden deals away from the capital. Edgbaston in Birmingham is offering some of the world’s best cricket hospitality for England’s test match versus the West Indies in June or ODI versus Australia in July.
Also the Open Championship is being held even further North at Royal Lytham & St Anne’s. The Open is oldest major in world golf and our official hospitality packages at this prestigious event are certainly unforgettable. Each year the chef’s create a stunning menu featuring local produce; click here for 2011’s menu for the Open held at Royal St George’s.
