After months of planning and preparation we here at Team Tactics are absolutely delighted to have finally held a superb corporate entertainment weekend for our client. Our client, the UK division of a global car marque, we welcoming their colleagues from Japan and as such wanted to hold a memorable and motivational activity to mark the occasion.
As past clients will know, we always strive to create the best possible event for our clients and this was no exception! From the initial enquiry to the actual event we worked extremely closely with our client, making site visits and revisits to identify the location and activity that best fit their requirements and budget.
As you might have guessed from the blog title, our client chose to hold our Military Driving Day during the day as their ‘active’ entertainment event. This is the first military driving event we’ve held this year so as you can imagine we were all excited in the office as we know there’s always a ton of great pictures to share. We’ve more pictures on our Facebook page too if you’d like to take a look!
The Military Driving Day last from approximately 9.30 till 16.15 and included hot bacon rolls, tea and coffee on arrival, lunch and afternoon tea. On arrival the teams (there were 4 in total) were kitted out in camouflage overalls and given a full safety briefing. There were also 4 different activities; Armoury and Bren Gun Strip, Lance and Supercat Driving, Woodland Patrol and 432 and Gvozdika Driving. And at the end of the day was the spectacular Grand Finale – crushing a car with a 52 ton Chieftain tank!
Overall Military Driving was a great choice for our client. It’s an experience very few people will ever have and leaves a memorable impression on all attending. Vehicles such as the Lance and Gvozdika are used by military forces but are also incredibly fun to drive, especially through the water! Also the teams were able to drive the only privately held Lance vehicles in the world!
In the evening at Oxford Spires Four Pillars hotel our guests were able to relax after their exhilarating day before enjoying a 3-course evening meal. Set in beautiful parkland Oxford Spires was a lovely hotel for our client’s Japanese guests and offered an elegant setting for their. We also booked classical guitarist Jon Pickard to perform for live the guests at Oxford Spires. So as you can see we made the most of their budget to make the event extra special!
Finally, here’s the feedback from our client: “Firstly, I would like to take this opportunity to say a massive thank you to Helen and all the crew at Team Tactics for the preparation and coordination of our ‘Military Driving’ day. Every element of the day went smoothly, this was due, in no small part, to your teams exceptional focus on the detail and ‘Can Do’ attitude.
Secondly, the team at on the day were outstanding and delivered what can only be described as a truly memorable and unique day. Please pass on my thanks to Suzie and Nick for their personal touch, delicious food and for putting up with us arriving so early!
Thirdly, the hotel. The recommendation to use the Oxford Spires was again spot on. In conjunction with Hellen acting as the event coordinator, the level of customer service was first class. The rooms, food and private dining area were all just at the right level for our Senior Managers to relax and discuss the merits of the days activities. The Classical Guitarist was also another excellent recommendation, thank you.
Overall Tina, your company exceeded all expectations. It is an absolute pleasure dealing with a professional organisation such as yours, especially where short lead deliverables and budgets are concerned.
Again, thank you. I look forward to hopefully working with you again in the near future”.
