What I Enjoy In Event Management

I have been with Team Tactics for over a year now and in that time I have experienced all aspects of the business and how it all runs, from preparing packs for our cab clue trails, to running full on events, but my main area of expertise is Team Building Events and bespoke events.

Bespoke packages and Team Building are where my passions lie and I love every minute of creating the perfect event for clients, from the “I know exactly what I want” clients to the “I have no idea!” clients, they are my favourites in all honesty, as they give me a real flare for my job and really get the creative juices flowing!

My knowledge and capability in this area has gone from strength to strength based on having a great team around me! Having your colleagues to fall back on makes every single task easier.

My Biggest Highlight

After only being Team tactics for 3 months (last December), I took on a mammoth task of creating a bespoke package for our friends across the pond! I was up against it, working with different time zones, cultural differences and a real specific taste from the client. I absolutely lapped this up as I felt I was achieving something for every single part of the event. Three days of events to be precise including accommodation, gifts, transport etc! The challenge was immense! To my surprise, I came up with a fabulous result; the guests enjoyed some amazing corporate activities and were thoroughly spoilt by their employers!

The 3 day event

  • Day 1 – Guests were taken by luxury coach to the nearby Playhouse Theatre to see Dreamboats & Petticoats. We managed to secure our guests excellent seats for the show, in two groups seated in the front 4 rows, before they returned to the Savoy Hotel, London.
  • Day 2 – Wednesday morning guests visited The Queen’s Gallery for an tour of the Leonardo Da Vinci: Anatomist exhibition. After their viewing at The Queen’s Gallery guests were taken to nearby Mosimann’s where they had the Bentley private dining room. Mosimann’s, located in a converted church, is one of London’s best restaurants and features Anton Mosimann’s cuisine naturelle which uses healthy and natural ingredients and avoiding excessive uses of fat. After their dining experience at Mosimann’s guests headed back to The Savoy for some relaxation and free time and to prepare for their next experience – dining aboard the Thames Barracuda. The Barracuda is a truly wonderful venue for entertaining and has in the past welcomed prime ministers and royalty.
  • Day 3 – On the final day, Thursday guests had a slightly early start in order to reach Windsor Castle in good time for their tour with a blue badge guide. The early start paid off as the guests were able to watch the Changing of the Guard ceremony! Being the largest and oldest inhabited castle in the world, Windsor Castle truly is a major piece of British history and so an excellent venue for overseas corporate guests to visit. After their morning tour of Windsor Castle it was then onto The Waterside Inn in the picturesque 16th century village Bray. It’d be hard to over state the brilliance of The Waterside Inn and its accolades speak for themselves.

  • Our guest’s final venue of the day was the Shakespeare’s Globe theatre located next to The Swan restaurant within. Shakespeare’s Globe theatre recently hosted the World Shakespeare Festival as part of the Cultural Olympiad and is a spectacular venue situated on the side of the Thames. The Swan restaurant and The Balcony private dining room is in a word stunning.

It has to be said there was a lot of tension in the office for 3 days, in the hope that everything ran smoothly and the clients were happy and thoroughly enjoyed themselves… and to our delight, they did just that! The whole event went without a hiccup and the client’s feedback was overwhelming!

So from bespoke event management to the fun, full on Team Building Events that Team Tactics cover.. I am a very busy person!

I hope I can help out lots more clients with their memories in the future! Love my job!
