Another Christmas Event Under Santa’s Belt

I had an absolutely smashing time last night at our client’s Christmas Party last night which we organised for them at the iconic Shakespeare’s Globe.  This venue never fails to disappoint and yesterday was no exception. Located on the bank of the Thames, it has unrivalled views and is easily reachable from Blackfriars or London Bridge tube stations.

Christmas Parties in London

The Globe restaurant, bar and private rooms are set over 3 floors and each has its own unique atmosphere.  The bar is constantly busy and with wood tables, minimalist Christmas decorations that we erected for the evening!  A private area was arranged at the rear of the bar with doors which lead onto the Terrace – perfect for summer evenings although a tad chilly currently! – and a dedicated team of staff on hand to take coats and serve a reception cocktail as soon as guests arrived.  Apple and Cinnamon Martinis and Cherry Fizz Cocktails were offered along with a drinks package of beers/wine/soft drinks.

At 18:45 we guided guests up the stairs to the gorgeous Balcony Room for their Christmas Party which Team Tactics had exclusively.  Seating up to 70 guests this room is perfect for all sorts of occasions, with terrace doors opening out onto a small balcony and a view of St Paul’s Cathedral and The River Thames that is truly stunning.

'Christmas Entertaining'

The Globe never fail to disappoint with the superior dressing and theming of the Balcony room and the Christmas theme being blue silk, white snowflakes and silver candelabras was truly delightful and the “wow” it received when the hosts arrived was well deserved!

Guests were served a three course meal which had been pre-ordered – again a plus point for groups as most venues demand one set menu for everyone – and glasses were constantly topped up to ensure a good evening was had by all.

Included in this particular package was a private tour of the Shakespeare Globe Theatre for half an hour with glasses of Mulled Wine which was very well received as most guests had never heard the history of the venue.  The tour allowed the very efficient staff to clear the room leaving a few tables and chairs as the DJ started up his ‘tunes’ and the dancing began.  There were some superb shapes being thrown on the floor and I can honestly say that everyone had a brilliant evening!

The Globe is a very versatile venue for corporate events and Xmas Entertaining in that so many events can be held there however varied from Ice Carving, cocktail making, lunch/dinner, start or end destinations for treasure hunts and conferences.  The staff leading up to the event plus the waiters and managers on the night are extremely good at their roles and very slick!  Please do call us to see what ideas we can offer you for here and anywhere in the UK!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
