A new man in the seat!

We are coming to the end of summer and this has been my first summer working with the Team at Team Tactics and what a busy time it has been. The number of events taking place every week all over the country from Corporate Hospitality to Team Building has been a real eye opener for me.

You do not realise the amount of work that goes into making sure that an event runs smoothly and the Team based in the Barn have to have an eye for perfection, our clients demand the best and that is what we have to provide. Events such as The Derby, Royal Ascot and Henley Royal Regatta are at the height of the Season and provide the ideal place to entertain clients and members of staff, one happy client booked immediately for Royal Ascot 2015 after winning £3,500 on Gold Cup Day and next year wants the full works in The Royal Enclosure.

Henley Royal Regatta sees numerous clients arriving for a champagne reception followed by having a fabulous lunch and then making their way onto our private charter boats to view the racing from the river. Our clients and guests cruise up and down The Thames watching the world class rowing with a Pimms or glass of Champagne in hand.

The town of Henley only has four days to turn around before the arrival of the Henley Festival of music and arts which sees world famous artists entertaining guests after gourmet food provided by some of the top chefs in Britain such as Albert Roux who is always on hand to say hello to our clients. Black tie entertaining all rounded off by spectacular fire works over the Thames on a balmy summer’s night.

Being a boutique corporate hospitality and entertainment firm Team Tactics receives the majority of its clients through referrals and through clients returning to us year after year. What this enables us to do is to sit with our clients and to discuss their specific brief in detail. This is what we do with one of our longest standing clients a world wide blue chip company that looks to reward its staff in different ways each year. The summer of 2014 has been no different with us designing, producing and running two events  for this key client. The first event was a sailing regatta on the south coast with two nights spent at the world famous Chewton Glen Hotel. After the sailing it was off to Ireland with another group and they  then had  two days in Dublin with visits to the Guinness factory, comedy clubs and excellent restaurants all the time making sure they could get to see the World Cup on a large screen! Once we had the clients in Dublin we had to make sure they all got back home, the clients had a fantastic time and have already sent us next years brief which they wish to launch to their staff before the end of August, we must be doing something right.

A new Team Building event which has been especially popular over the summer has been our GPS Treasure hunts. The majority of this Team Building or staff entertainment challenge we run in and around Central London. We divide our guests into Teams each provided with a Samsung Galaxy tablet and they then have to negotiate various tasks and location based quiz questions in order to win points, all the time being able to see real time scores of their opposition ! A little bit of competition goes a long way. The Teams even have to take photographic evidence of where they have been and pose in various positions. We are developing this further in time for our Christmas events which are already being booked up but more on the autumn and winter plans next time…
