Parisian Wine Tasting

Eurostar to ParisTeam Tactics have over 10 years experience creating exquisite and unique day trips to Paris. We have several preferred restaurants in the French capital, such as the below Le Bistrot du Sommelier option, all offering a classical French setting for you and your guests to savour classical French cuisine combined with wine tasting. For more information on our preferred restaurants please contact us.

You’ll be accompanied by an English-speaking, professional sommelier who will be your guide throughout your meal, as well as a Team Tactics event manager. Starting with a short Introduction to Wine Tasting to provide a common tasting language for your meal, your sommelier will lead you through the tastings, exploring with you the matching of the wines with the dishes, and providing insights into the wine regions represented.

With Eurostar departures from either Ebbsfleet or London’s St Pancras International, you and your guests will start a magical day’s experience travelling to the world’s most romantic city Paris, for a wonderfully cultured corporate event. This event is perfect as a corporate day out, whether for staff or entertaining clients, as it offers a relaxed and charming day for building relationships or rewarding staff.

Le Bistrot du Sommelier

Bistrot du Sommelier is conveniently located in the very centre of Paris’ Right Bank, in the 8th arrondisement. After your meal, you’ll have quite a choice of nearby attractions to visit. The restaurant is just down the street from Paris’ two major department stores, Galleries Lafayette and Printemps, and close to the famous gourmet emporiums of the Place de la Madeleine, Fauchon and Hédiard. The beautiful Musée Jacquemart André is just up the street, and the Jeu de Paume museum is just a short walk away at the Place de la Concorde. The Champs Elysées is also just a short walk from the Bistrot.

Team Tactics and Le Bistrot has created a wine tasting menu billed as “Harmony of Wine and Fayre”, featuring a 4 course lunch with 2 glasses of wine served during each course. All wines are served blind, and it’s up to the guests to determine the wine region, appellation, year and grape variety of each wine. It’s all part of the warm, relaxed atmosphere that makes guests feel so welcome at the Bistrot.

Really can’t fault the service we received from Team Tactics from the first approach in the summer to conclusion the service has been excellent. Especially so considering we were so disorganised in arranging the trip! The trip was well put together and superbly executed by Hellen who everyone praised. The supply of photos afterwards was a nice touch too. All in all a great experience and one hopefully we can repeat in 2012.

It was a fantastic day (certainly helped by beautiful sunshine and 21 degree heat in Paris!). Hellen was a faultless host and organised us extremely efficiently during the day, as well as being a really involved part of the group, doing anything she could to help us out and generally making the day enjoyable for everyone. Mary (our Sommelier at the restaurant) was hugely knowledgeable and made the wine tasting both accessible and fun. I now have a whole new appreciation for French wine!

The event itself was excellent, having our own tables together on the train meant that we were able to enjoy ourselves as a team and the restaurant and sommelier offered a fascinating and rewarding experience. The extra few hours was just enough time to enjoy the magnificent Sacre Coeur in perfect sunshine – 10/10!

Mary really knew her stuff and we all learned enough to bluff our way through the next wine tasting!
Hellen was lovely, she looked after us fantastically and felt like part of the group.
