Building teams whilst changing lives

Established in 1995, Team Tactics are always on the front ‘paw’ when it comes to creating innovative, exciting but also charitable team building activities. As an award-winning business with 30 years’ experience and an office full of dog lovers’ owners, this CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) team building event is close to all our hearts and is a real stand out activity.

We hold the belief that team building should be fun. By integrating such a captivating team activity, we offer a refreshing experience for business groups, serving as a catalyst to facilitate their learning journey.

This event is designed for teams from 12 to 75 people. Teams work together in groups of 4/5 on various challenges to win equipment to then build a functioning high tech dog wheelchair. This offers a rare opportunity to build team morale, improve communication, leadership and teamworking, whilst also creating a way to give a dog back their freedom.

There is something in this activity for everyone, the introverts and extroverts, the creatives to the analytical, the thinkers to the more impulsive personalities! It’s fun, its heart-warming, it’s about giving something so needed to our four-legged friends in desperate need to live a full life. It’s a journey that everybody will love and it’s not uncommon to see a few tears.

Who does Wheels for Walkies help?

As many of us will see first-hand or on social media, there are many animals where canine wheelchairs can create a more complete life for our pets. Some dogs may be paralysed, have had an accident, or with old age such as arthritis and other related degenerative deceases.
Unbelievably wheelchairs for dogs were first introduced in the 1960’s. Today, dog wheelchairs have improved immeasurably and offer a welcome return of movement. Dogs can walk, jog, fetch and play as they did before. Team Tactics has selected the best dog wheelchair there is on the market as part of this CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) team building activity. Highly durable, lightweight aircraft-grade aluminium frames for our canine friends to continue enjoying their life to the max.

The Team Activity

Our team begins with a welcome presentation that outlines what participants can anticipate during the event. We also introduce the diverse charities we support through this team-building activity. We consistently arrange for a charity representative to be present, accompanied by an incredibly friendly disabled dog using a wheelchair. This allows participants to hear firsthand about the charity’s origin, mission, and their efforts in aiding dogs in need. Witnessing a dog in a wheelchair may be a new experience for many participants, and any dog lover is sure to fall in love with the likes of Pumpkin, Ziggy, and Percy.

Success Stories

Bruno is a 10-year-old mixed breed. Sadly, Bruno had a failed cruciate repair and has cancer. He needs a wheelchair that will enable him to be able to do what dogs love, sniffing and exploring his kingdom. A wheelchair was provided in January 2024.

In July 2020, Rocco had a collision with another dog in the house, resulting in a herniated disc. Despite undergoing surgery, he never regained the use of his hind legs. Rocco’s family has exhausted their financial resources to manage his care, including other health issues, making life challenging. Although Rocco initially had a wheelchair, continuous use has rendered it quite aged. This year, as Rocco turns six, the wheelchair, crafted by a Wheels for Walkies team, will be gifted to him, providing essential mobility support that he readily utilises.
