The Apprentice Treasure Hunt is a GPS-guided, iPad-based charity team building event – inspired by the BBC TV show. Teams are let loose across London armed with a charity shopping list and a budget, tasked with sourcing as many items as possible for the best value, while completing GPS-unlocked challenges along the way.
The challenge-based structure gives everyone a role. Energy stays high throughout as teams track rivals on the live leaderboard and race to climb the rankings.
All items collected are donated to Porchlight and Catching Lives, charities supporting homeless individuals in Kent.
Works well for corporate away days, CSR events, and team days where people want to feel like the activity meant something.

Everyone did such a great job and I love the fact that its a CSR event but its different to what other companies offer. Anyone who is an animal lover will want to do this. The Team Tactics team were great in helping to organise this session in the limited timescales we have and with the flexibility to run this session from our office, in a shortened timescale. Ellie was a great events lead, bringing energy (as well as getting everyone to settle down where excited!) to our group who were definitely very pleased with the activity. Our team is largely remote which can mean organising events in person can be difficult as we're not always sure who will actually turn up! Team Tactics were patient with this and accommodating as we had to change the numbers a couple of times leading up to the event.

The event itself was fantastically run. I’d arranged to have a telephone call with Jem the day before where we discussed exactly what I wanted to achieve from this workshop and how it would interlink with our main goals as a company for this year. Employee feedback was that they enjoyed seeing other colleagues and the informality of being together. There’s an intrinsic value to that time together that’s often underestimated. Many of our colleagues don’t have an office environment or set working location, and for them it was especially enjoyable. Each team receives an iPad Mini loaded with the interactive challenge app. An experienced event management team runs the full session, medals are awarded to the winning team, and all collected charity items are donated to Porchlight and Catching Lives. After the event, you’ll receive a photo link with the photos taken on the iPad.
