The Event
This fun team building event is situated in fifteen acres of mature oak woodland, with purpose-built training rooms and is one of Europe’s most extensive high ropes courses. Situated just off the M4 close to Reading, this is an ideal location for staff training, corporate team building days.
‘Entrepreneur’ is a high energy and fast moving event. Your group will be split into sub teams of 10 people or less, and these teams will then compete for the opportunity of building a roller coaster for a Fun Park; Unique World! A panel of Financial Advisors will choose the successful bid and award prizes to the team, and also the greatest individual Entrepreneurs of the day.
Objectives
The main objectives for each team are to:
1. Have a working replica roller coaster in place by the end of the event,
2. Possess public liability insurance,
3. Possess a health and safety certificate,
4. And finally they must have money in the bank.
Each team will have a 'menu' of fun, exciting and challenging tasks and activities, which will enable them to earn enough money to buy the relevant certificates and equipment to construct their replica roller coaster. The tasks really are varied and there is something for everyone. There is a combination of ground based problem solving, low and high ropes course activities and paper based puzzles.
As the teams earn the money through exciting physical and mental tasks, they will start to develop and build their bid. At the end of the event, judges will decide which is the successful bid based upon it actually working, it's creativity and stability!
It's a superb event and feedback from participants is always excellent.

The Instructors
The High Ropes events exceed clients’ expectations, often to a surprising degree. All of our instructors are fully qualified, extremely friendly and pride themselves in their ability to individually monitor, guide and encourage participants to go " as far as they want to" in an environment built on trust and support. It is our aim to empower people to have serious fun whilst with us, and to provide memories that will last for a very long time.
The Activities
The tasks are situated and constructed in a variation of settings and structures, to ensure that everybody included will be mentally challenged whilst physically participating and supporting one another. The challenges are focused within a problem-solving environment. Some of the challenges require the team to work together throughout designated areas, where other challenges are focused upon the individual contribution to achieve success for the whole team.

Package Itinerary
SAMPLE AFTERNOON EVENT ITINERARY:
- 13.00: Welcome to High Ropes. Introduction to the day and presentation of the event! Participants given their mascot for the day and start planning their tasks!
- 13.15: Low All aboard - a quick and simple activity; all team members must transfer from one platform to the other using only the rope. A great activity to get people moving and laughing!
- 13.30: Challenge Course - an activity that links a whole series of obstacles. The course is of a large circular design, consisting of a variation of swings, balance beams, rope bridges and platforms, etc. The team members must work together to negotiate the course without touching the ground; with the added complication of carrying a dangerous liquid! The nature of the activity ensures an exciting environment, which complements the fun character of the event.
- 14.15: Ski-Walk - the team will mount a giant set of skis and together must negotiate a pre-determined course. 14.30: Climbing Wall - A tall wooden ‘wall’ with a variety of climbing hand and foot holds attached. Up to three people can simultaneously climb as far up as they choose. We can tie people together and even blindfold one of the three! A fun and challenging high ropes activity.
- 15.15: High All aboard - this is an exciting and challenging high ropes activity designed for four people to climb the 30 foot pole and stand on top of the 34cm x 34cm platform, with their team mates on the ground looking after their safety, closely supervised by a qualified instructor. This really is a memorable activity that is a great way to literally finish the event on a high! 1
- 6.00: Design and build roller coaster and plan presentations
- 16.35: Presentation and demonstration of roller coasters
- 17.00: Prizes awarded, feedback, and depart.

Challenge by Choice
“Challenge by choice” emphasises that all participation is the individual’s choice. Therefore, no one will be “persuaded” to take part if they do not wish to and whatever the situation, ‘inactive’ delegates are able to support other team members should this be the case.
With the help of our instructors, the activities offer the opportunity for the participants to ‘stretch’ themselves by stepping out of their ‘comfort zones’, and into their ‘stretch’ or ‘learning’ zones. When we step outside our comfort zone, or when we are asked to do things that seem difficult or challenging, we can experience tension, anxiety, and even fear.
To enable growth, however, and experience all that we are, to really develop, expand and learn we have to get outside our comfort zone, into the ‘stretch zone’.
