Our Team Building Activities Process

Planning a successful team building event in London is about more than just picking an activity and winging it. That’s why we take the time to understand your team, your goals, your brief and your budget to create an event that’s worthy and memorable.

1. Initial conversation

We’ll find out what you’re looking to achieve, how many people are involved, where you’d like the event to take place, and the kinds of events you’ve thrown in the past. All of this helps us pick the right activity for your team.

2. Sourcing an activity

London offers an extraordinary range of options, and we have the experience to know what works. From GPS treasure hunts through the city to collaborative indoor events, we’ll match the activity to your group’s profile, budget and objectives. We can even design bespoke events.

3. Planning and logistics

Once you’ve chosen an event as suggested by us, our planning team handles everything from the organising to the execution. All the logistics are handled on our end, so you can make the most of enjoying the experience with your team.

4. On-the-day delivery

On the day itself, our event managers and facilitators are on hand to ensure everything runs as it should. We coordinate everything, so you can enjoy the event.

5. Post-event follow-up

After your team building event, we’ll catch up with you for some feedback to understand what you loved, so we can tailor everything we do for our clients in the future.

The Benefits of Team Building Events in London

A wonderful capital city, London is pretty hard to beat when it comes to finding team building exercises. With its mix of iconic landmarks, diverse venues and endless energy, the capital brings something extra to business events that a conference room simply can’t replicate. Here’s why team building in London is worth the investment.

An unforgettable setting

London has a way of making an event feel special, whether you’re speeding along the Thames or participating in a cocktail making class. Shared experiences in memorable locations are the ones people talk about long after the day is over.

Huge range of activities

London is enormous, which is why it offers just about every activity you can think of. It has the venues, the space and the infrastructure to support any event, no matter the group size or budget.

Combine events easily

Your day doesn’t necessarily have to end at 5pm. A team building activity can flow naturally into dinner at a great restaurant, an evening of entertainment, or a private venue hire, extending the excitement of the day.

Accessible for everyone

It doesn’t really get more accessible than London. It’s one of the easiest places to travel in and out of, with major rail terminals, the Underground, international airports, and excellent road links. This makes it the perfect place for a team building day, even when your business is located outside of London.

London Team Building FAQs

London has so much to offer when it comes to team building activities, thanks to its history, culture, diversity, and restaurants, as well as its accessibility by road, train and plane.

There are foodie-related activities, indoor and outdoor team building, activities for smaller groups, participative activities, collaborative events and so much more.

The “best” team building really depends on what’s best suited to your business, but we can help you decide.

For a young techie group, It’s A Rat Trap or Robot Wars are just perfect. However, if getting out and about in London is required, days out like our London Game of Zones event are great to encourage collaboration among teams.

For a young sales group, any team building activities that foster a competitive environment would be an ideal choice. For example, Dragon Boat Racing in Central London or The Apprentice Charity Treasure Hunt in London are both collaborative but also competitive!

With nearly 30 years’ experience of providing days out in London, Team Tactics offer a wide choice of unusual team building activities.

What about trying out line dancing or taking on a series of activities in our Sports Day Throwback. Prefer something less energetic? Our Give a Helping Hand event is a fantastic event that is hosted tabletop, and sees teams build prosthetic hands, which are then donated to those in need in developing countries.

We recommend a quick telephone call to create a specific proposal for your brief, which will then be emailed to you within the hour.

Whether it’s a team based in London, or a group of staff looking for an exciting day out in the city, we’d ideally like to know a few things about the proposed activity.

We need to know where the activity will be held, how many people it’s for, the profile of your staff, how long the event will last for, and your budget. It’s also handy to know about previous events you’ve arranged, as this will give us a feel of what style of activities have gone down well with the organisation.

We usually state 10 people as a minimum, with the maximum dependent on the activity or the venue. In many instances, an activity can be arranged for a smaller group, but we would need to invoice you for a minimum group size. Dragon Boat Racing, GPS Treasure Hunts or Build a Bike for Charity are ideal for scaling up for larger numbers.

Most of our team building activities last between 2 to 3 hours. We know that some activities need to run on quite a tight schedule; if this is the case, we’ll suggest the best event based on your group profile, budget and brief.

We can also arrange activities that take a full day. A full-day event usually starts with refreshments and a morning activity, followed by lunch. After lunch, everyone reconvenes for a second activity.

Most London team building activities are suitable for all abilities, although it’s useful to understand everyone’s needs prior to us booking or organising the event. Events range from indoor activities to more physical outdoor adventure challenges, but all activities are suitable for any abilities.

Our events are run by experienced facilitators who will assist and help any group. If you’d prefer a less-active event, then take a look at It’s A Rat Trap or The Bigger Picture. If you’d love something a bit more physical, look at activities such as It’s a Knockout or a London Treasure Hunt.

The costs for London team building activities vary depending on the event chosen. Prices range from £65pp up to £100s per person for our high-end experiences. Please note that smaller numbers may command a more expensive cost per person than for greater numbers of staff.

Team Tactics offer a variety of different charity team building events, allowing businesses to help out their local community in small but meaningful ways.

Build a Bike for Charity, Wheels for Walkies and our London Charity Apprentice GPS Hunt are some of our most popular charity team building activities.

Our London team building events can fit around any schedule, in between meetings and conference calls. We operate our events 7 days a week and can run events in the evenings. Our most popular days for these events are Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, so make sure you book your slot in advance if you’d like one of these days!
